We were all told as children to watch our chocolate intake. This advice was circulated for a long time because many thought that acne was somehow related to diet. Although both sides have valid arguments, there is no denying that food choices can have some effect on the progression of the skin disorder. If there is anything everyone should come to admit, it is that medical conditions are far more complex than we perceive them to be. There can be so many confounding variables involved. For instance, the notion that acne is caused by oily skin was once widely accepted. However, we have come to learn that acne results from the interplay of several variables, including diet, the skin shedding cycle, sebaceous gland activity, and finally the concentrations of p. acne bacteria present.

The foods which our contemporary diet is composed of are very unhealthy. Processed foods, as they are currently known, contain excessive amounts of simple carbohydrates. When our body processes these carbohydrates, our insulin levels skyrocket. This triggers an increased release of the testosterone hormone, which can force out sebaceous glands into overproducing oil. When a pore becomes clogged, this oil is able to continually feed the acne bacteria so that they can multiply.

An acne acne-fighting diet plan needs to contain a very limited number of processed foods. Even dairy products can be suspect in many cases of the disorder, for they contain foreign hormones which can cause adverse reactions. The best thing to do is to consume dairy products and processed foods in moderation. Water consumption is also very important in maintaining a clear complexion. Soda will simply not cut it. Finally, greasy foods should be avoided. It is not so much that they directly cause acne, but rather that the grease makes contact with our face creating blemishes.

Making the necessitated diet changes will be tough. However, the rewards will span far beyond clear skin. Your health is far more important than the few minutes of gratification you get by biting through a twinkie. Begin making some changes today!

Decades ago many people had different reasons for what can cause someone to have acne. After years of research and studies experts have found the real causes and put the myths to an end.

Here are some common myths and the reasons why they are just myths.

Myth #1: Tanning clears acne. Over exposure to the sun can actually dry the skin and lead to more breakouts. It also causes damage to the pores. The UV rays from the sun have been linked to premature aging and skin cancer. Fresh air and little sun exposure is good for your health and your skin, but you should always wear sunscreen. If you have acne prone skin then make sure you chose a sunscreen that says noncomedogenic or nonacnegenic that way you can be sure that the sun screen will not clogged the pores.

Myth #2: Wearing make up causes pimples. Maybe that was a reality in the past, however now experts have actually added acne fighting ingredients to concealers. Look for make up that is nonacnegenic or noncomedogenic. Some also contain benzol peroxide which is an acne fighting ingredient. Be sure to always wash off your make up before bed, because the skin renews itself while you sleep. If you sleep with make up on, the skin will not be able to renew properly and also may age your skin another seven days.

Myth #3: Greasy food and Chocolate cause acne. Studies have not proven any food to be a direct cause of acne. Everyone is different and some people may notice different foods cause them to brake out.
In that case experts have linked food allergies to cause some people to breakout when eating a food that they may not know their body is allergic too. It is always good to eat healthy and avoid sugary and greasy foods. If you notice that a particular food or drink causes you to have more pimples then avoid eating that food because you actually may be allergic to it. Your doctor can always perform a food allergy test if you would like to know for a fact what foods you are allergic too.

Myth #4: Acne medications work right away. Nothing will work immediately to clear pimples. The body needs to get used to the change or the topical solution. The skin needs to heal itself gradually. It will take several weeks or even months to see lasting results. Just stick with it and in time your skin should clear. If has been more then a couple months, visit your dermatologist.

Myth#5: Not washing your face enough will cause acne. The fact is that washing your face too often will cause more breakouts and irritation. It causes the skin to dry and strips the natural oils from your face. Just wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser. Be very gentle and pat dry with a clean cloth. Always make sure that you rinse your face after exercising or excessive sweating. Then the bacteria and toxins will not sit on the skin and cause acne or blackheads.

How did it happen, your acne? When did it start? I am not quite sure really. I woke up one morning got out of bed-as you do. I headed for the shower-as you do. I walked past the mirror in the bathroom-as you do. I casually looked into it. Then I did a double take-and BOING!! There it was, right on the end of my nose!

Things developed from there really-down hill all the way. Each morning as I passed the mirror I would closely scrutinize ever inch of my face and guess what? More zits appeared. What was happening to me? I became paranoid and spotty! Suddenly a word that had never been a part of my vocabulary became a familiar one-ACNE. The dangers of my young life loomed up before me. Would I lose my girl? Would I lose face (no joke intended) with my friends? Would I have to go into hiding? I need HELP! HELP! HELP! Its not your acne its my acne.

Ok so slow down! Ive been there too. I know what its like. Lets just reason together for a while. Its a terrible place to be just as life starts to open up and you are making progress and you have to face this problem. But lets not worry about it lets deal with it-ok.

Most people that are affected by Acne are generally young, perhaps between the ages of eleven to twenty four. Basically your acne is a skin condition that causes spots. It typically affects the skin of the face, back, neck, chest and arms and the severity of the condition can vary greatly from person to person.

Three common misconceptions about the origins of the condition are as follows:

1) It has been said your acne is entirely due to diet. There have been extensive studies undertaken that disprove the suggestions that chocolate, fries, chips, and sugars are the direct causes of acne, this, however, has been refuted by dermatologists as myth. But you have to be sensible and help your bodys immune system by giving it the things it needs to help you fight the condition, so learn to eat healthily.

2) It has also been stated that poor hygiene causes your acne. This just isnt true. The hormones get to work, the sebaceous glands produce oil, the pores get blocked and BINGO, a small volcano is formed then its just a matter of time before it goes bang! However, hygiene can help. So keep the areas washed and free from bugs and youll give your body a fighting chance to work its own way out of the problem.

3) Heres a sensitive one MasterÂ…Â…. causes acne. Let me tell you its just not true. There have been studies on this issue as well, all found to be untrue. However it is also important to note that sexual activity has been observed to result in hormones spiking and it is this aspect that has often been linked to your acne.

My advice is to approach the problem of your acne with a comprehensive plan. Eat healthily, wash regularly use an antibio, get plenty of rest, practice meditation so as not to worry, find the right treatment designed for you. Have you experienced a swelling in your skin? And then you tried to pop it? Well after reading this you must now think twice before popping that swell. Because that swell may be acne.

Acne is common to people nowadays. Acne is also known as pimples or more scientifically, vulgaris. It is caused when your pores get clogged causing an accumulation of fatty material from your oil gland or sebaceous gland.

Not all your pores are affected by acne. The reason for this is still a mystery. Because of the accumulation in the pores, a swell may eventually appear which is known as blackheads or whiteheads. Blackheads are not caused by dirt but by the chemical reaction of the fatty material in the pores with the air. Air causes the discoloration of the fatty material causing a black “bump”.

Acne has many different types along with different superstitious beliefs, theories and treatments. These different types of treatments may work for others but not on you because of acne’s complexity. So, don’t just believe on what your friends tell you or what the TV commercial promises with your acne. Those may just be one of theories and superstitious beliefs.

We already know about the physical effects of acne (When you pop it its causes more acnes or worse it becomes a life-long scar), but how about its psychological effects? Teenagers with acne tend to have lower self-confidence that leads to their feeling of isolation and being awkward to their peers with clear skin. Acnes made people cry, and angry. Thousands of people each year are afflicted by it, and it makes recluses out of a good many teenagers.

Teens are not the only one suffering from acne, adult acne is also common nowadays. Unlike teen’s acne, adult acne is due to the changes that our skin goes through as we mature. Scars caused by acnes in adults are more severe than the scars of teens with acne. Adults, unlike teens are less likely to find treatment to their acnes, leaving them to suffer alone.

Acne has two main categories. It can be inflammatory acne or non-inflammatory acne. Whether if you’re an adult or a teen, your acne may fall to one of these categories.

Blackheads and whiteheads are signs of non-inflammatory acne. Unlike non-inflammatory acnes, inflammatory acnes are harder to identify. Some symptoms of inflammatory acnes may be papules, pustules and in more severe cases, nodules or cysts.

You can look for different kinds of treatments once you already know on what category your acne falls. Always remember that if a certain treatment didn’t work for your acne, you can always try some other treatments. The technology nowadays, has given rise to new treatments. Researchers are now developing some new treatments that might be the one your waiting for and might give you the clear skin your longing for.

Another treatment which may be more effective is that avoid grain products such as bread, corn, cereals and pastries. Also, don’t forget to always drink your vitamins because it may just help you with acne. But still, these methods may not work for you. Maybe, you should just use your own judgment in treating your acne or just consult your dermatologist.

Now, there are some things you can do to make yourself more attractive to girls. Wear nice clothes and make sure they fit right.
